You can hold the line and let go; the trouble is both are genuine.

Misread as difficult. Lian Zhen won't accept sloppiness. What someone that rule-minded actually fears is unfairness.
Lian Zhen is the most complicated of the fourteen: it's classified both as a confinement star and as a peach-blossom star. The contradiction is one thing seen twice — Lian Zhen cares about rules and boundaries, and someone who cares about boundaries both keeps them strictly and is strongly drawn to what crosses them.
It shows up in you like this: unfairness provokes a bigger reaction in you than loss does; you have your own code, not necessarily the mainstream one, and you follow it; and you're either fully in or entirely out, with the middle ground genuinely difficult.
Running well, Lian Zhen is whoever holds the line: with you there, things don't rot, because you won't accept sloppy. Blocked, the line becomes a cell — binding others first, then yourself, until relaxing feels like a fault; or the reverse, a long suppression ending in one expensive crossing. The tradition says Lian Zhen does better governed than loosed, and practically that means writing your principles down and saying them out loud. A boundary you can state is protection. One you can't becomes a mood.
