Nine Star Ki is a Japanese system for timing and direction that gives you a birth-year star and a birth-month star among nine stars, from One White Water to Nine Purple Fire. It is read for temperament, compatibility, and when to travel which way.
The year star comes from the birth year, changing at Lichun on a nine-year cycle; the month star comes from the solar month and the year star's group. Each year, month and day has its own Lo Shu board, where the stars move through eight directions.
What it asks you for: date of birth
Your year and month stars, temperament and harmony with others, this year's and today's favourable and unfavourable directions, and good timing for moves or trips.
