Cards of Destiny is a method that maps the 52-card deck onto the 52 weeks of the year, finds one birth card from your birthday, and reads where it sits in a spread. It is used for character, how people combine, and the cards you pass through in each phase of life.
The birth card is 55 minus (twice the month plus the day); the result 1 to 52 runs Ace to King through hearts, clubs, diamonds and spades, and 31 December is the Joker. The life spread is worked out step by step with the book's shuffling method, then read in planetary order.
What it asks you for: date of birth
What your birth card's suit and rank describe, its place and neighbours in the life spread, the guardian card from your Sun sign, and the cards for each planetary phase.
