The Five breaks the structure; the Six is balance found again after the break. Numerically six is two threes and three twos — a harmonious number, and every Six carries giving and flow: Six of Wands the triumph, Six of Cups sharing and memory, Six of Swords crossing the water away, Six of Pentacles the scales and the alms.
Notice that every one of these pictures involves movement: not back to the Four's camp, but forward to a new position. The Six's harmony is the kind you only get after passing through a Five, and it has more in it than the Four's stability because it knows what was lost.
Where you'll recognise it: the turn where things finally improve, someone reaching out, you having the strength to help someone else. Running well, the Six is the most comfortable rank on the line — progress, connection, a little slack. Stuck, its problem is nostalgia — the sweetness of the Six of Cups can become permanent looking back, and the boat on the Six of Swords can drift and never land. A Six is a transition, not an arrival.
