The Knight charges outward; the Queen already understands and has no need to charge. Queen and King are two maturities of one suit: the Queen inward, the King outward; the Queen comprehension, the King execution. All four Queens are seated, holding the suit's emblem, and their posture is regarding it — not wielding it.
The mechanism is internalisation: the element has become part of you and you use it without thinking. The Queen of Cups doesn't ask what she feels, she is feeling; the Queen of Pentacles doesn't calculate, she has a feel for resource. That's why the Queen so often maps to intuition — not a mystical faculty, but fluency deep enough that reasoning is no longer needed.
Where you'll recognise it: certainty about something you can't justify, being able to steady or nourish others, ease inside your own domain. Running well, a Queen is depth: you understand the inside of the thing and others come to you to understand it. Stuck, her problem is understanding without acting — seeing it all clearly and never moving; or treating her own feeling as fact. The Queen needs the King: after understanding, someone still has to decide.
