Indirect WealthThe ten gods (BaZi)BaZi · Four Pillars of Destiny

偏財 is what you control at opposite polarity. In the logic of the ten gods, what you can control is your wealth — so the wealth stars aren't only about money but about resource you're able to direct.

The 偏 doesn't mean crooked, it means unfixed. Its image is money in motion: business, investment, favours circulating, opportunity income. Its difference from 正財 is the steadiness of the source, not its legitimacy. The tradition also links 偏財 to the father and to social skill, because both run on directing resource inside a network.

The practical reading is opportunity capture. Someone with 偏財 strong sees openings well, and pays for it in keeping: what arrives fast rarely gets valued. So this box most wants a mechanism for stock beside it.
