The rabbit holds 卯, five to seven — the sun just up, everything still light. Among the twelve it's the best at avoidance: not cowardice, but a calculation that head-on costs more than going round. In most situations that calculation is correct.
You'll recognise it here: you read a room on entry, accurately; you rarely close a sentence off, keeping room by reflex; and your requirements for beauty and comfort are higher than you'd admit.
Running well, the rabbit is whoever gets a thing agreed: you can move it forward without leaving anyone unable to save face, and that's a hard skill. Most conflicts aren't about differing positions — they're about somebody backed into a corner. Blocked, avoidance becomes habit: even what should be said isn't, so relationships stay smooth on top and accumulate underneath; or the sensitivity turns on yourself and relaxing gets difficult. The rabbit's practical lesson is telling avoidance from flight. One is a strategy and one is a habit, and they look exactly the same from outside.
