The Sun is nineteen, all lit; Judgement is twenty, and in the light you hear the call. An angel sounds a trumpet, coffins stand open on the ground, and the people in them rise with arms open — men, women, children, all of them. The mechanism: this isn't a judgement from outside; it's you hearing something and standing up. Twenty is ten doubled: the Wheel has turned twice, and this time you're not merely carried round — you answer.
Where you'll recognise it: reaching a point in life where stock has to be taken, suddenly knowing what you're meant to do, the moments you can no longer pretend you didn't hear. This card is about awakening and calling, and its next step is the last card of the deck — so what it asks is: are you ready to finish?
Running well, Judgement is the clearest turning there is: the past honestly seen, what should be laid down laid down, walking toward the call. Stuck, its problem is hearing and not rising — the call dismissed as fantasy, 'not ready yet' stretched indefinitely, or the reverse: endlessly judging your own past and never getting out. The coffins are open. Whoever rose doesn't lie back down.
