HeartThe nine centersHuman Design

The heart is the smallest of the nine and governs hard things: promise, will, and a sense of self-worth. Its key property is being pulsed — it tires and needs recovery, unlike the sacral's continuous supply.

Filled means a steady source of will; doing what you said costs you nothing unusual. Open means a recurring urge to prove you're worth it, and that urge isn't yours — it comes in from the environment and gets amplified.

Running well, this is where 'if I said it, it happens' comes from, and in a world of talking that alone is credit. Blocked, the usual failure is buying worth with promises: agreeing to more than you can carry in order to prove something, then reading the shortfall as a defect of character. The tradition's reminder about this centre is simple — will runs out, and running out means rest. It has nothing to do with what you're worth.
