The ajna sits below the head, and its function is processing: turning the raw material pressure sends down into a shape — a concept, a model, a view you can say out loud. It governs not how clever you are but how a thought takes form in you.

Filled means you have a fixed way of processing, and people find you have your own route through a problem. Open means you can borrow many ways of thinking — flexible, and also prone to uncertainty about what you actually think.

Running well, this is where confusion becomes usable: a blur passes through you and comes out as three points. Blocked, the processing won't stop — the seventh re-sort of the same material, each time feeling nearly done. The traditional line is that this centre doesn't stop thinking, which isn't a fault, it's how it runs. So the practical move is giving thought a finishing time: not stopping when it's resolved, stopping when the time is up.
