The core of this type isn't diligence — it's how the engine starts. What Human Design's types actually sort is where energy comes from and what opens it. A Generator carries a continuously supplied source with one condition attached: it doesn't start on willpower, it starts on encounter. That sounds passive and is the opposite. A car that needs a key isn't less capable than one without; you just have to know where the key is.

You'll recognise it here: between thinking of a thing and actually doing it there's a visible gap in you — flat while you're considering, unstoppable once you touch it; people describe you as frightening once you're in; and what tires you most isn't volume, it's the things you should do that your body never answered.

Running well, you're the one who finishes — not just the start but the boring middle, and the boring middle is what eliminates most people. Blocked, there's a very specific signal: frustration. Not anger, not sadness — a stuffed feeling of having energy with nowhere to put it. The tradition treats frustration as this type's alarm bell, and it reports the same thing nearly every time: you said yes to something your body never nodded at. So the practice isn't more discipline. It's admitting 'I don't want to' earlier — that sentence saves more energy than any system of time management.
