Metal 4Element bureausZi Wei Dou Shu 紫微斗數

Metal 4 begins at four, the closest of the five to the middle. Metal is the gathering-in, choosing end of the elements, and the position of four puts its chapters almost exactly on society's common scale — fourteen, twenty-four, thirty-four are also the ages at which most people are expected to change stage.

There's a practical consequence: a metal 4 rarely feels out of step, early or behind, because the rhythm is synchronised with the surroundings. The cost is that the pressure peaks at the same moment as the turn — everyone is being asked the same question at once.

So what this 局 has to watch isn't timing. It's checking, while everybody is turning, that the direction you turn is the one you wanted.
