Plum Blossom Numerology (Meihua Yishu) is a method of divination that builds a hexagram from the year, month, day and hour, or from numbers, then reads how its two trigrams support or weaken each other. It shows who helps whom between you and the matter, and how it may unfold.
For a time cast, the lunar year number plus month and day, divided by eight, gives the upper trigram; adding the hour gives the lower, and the total divided by six gives the moving line. The still trigram stands for you, the moving one for the matter.
What it asks you for: no birth data, just a question
Whether you and the matter support or weaken each other, how it runs from start to finish, roughly which day it may move, and odds and pace for thirteen kinds of questions.
