How it is worked outI Ching 易經Six lines are cast in one of four ways here: three coins, the yarrow-stalk method, the moment you ask, or two numbers you give. Changing lines decide which text to read, following Zhu Xi. The lines are then paired with the day and month of the cast to see what supports the matter and when it may move.
What it asks you for: no birth data, just a question
Where the matter stands, which line of text to read first, how many forces hold it up or press on it, and roughly which days it may move.
