SacralInner authorityHuman Design

Sacral authority comes from a defined sacral centre. In Human Design that centre governs not stamina but response: it produces an immediate, pre-verbal reaction to 'this or not', and the reaction happens before any reasons arrive.

You'll recognise it here: asked about something, there's a fast open or shut in your body and only then does your head start manufacturing reasons; what you talked yourself into afterwards is unusually tiring to do; and people describe you as unstoppable once in and immovable on things you don't want.

Running well, this is the fastest and cheapest decision mechanism in the whole system: no analysis, no waiting, provided the question is put properly. The technical key is therefore turning the question into a yes-or-no — the sacral can't answer an open question, it will only give you an mm or an uh. Blocked, the problem is nearly the same one every time: you listened to the reasons that arrived two seconds later. Reasons come to persuade you, not to inform you. Tell those two apart and this authority becomes usable.
