Day-master strength isn't mysticism; it's a ratio: your day stem (the one from your birth day) against the other seven characters on the chart. Feeding you are your own kind and what produces you; draining you are what you produce, what you control, and what controls you. The month branch — your birth season — counts double, and the day master is checked for whether it's in season there. Low feeding share plus an unfavourable season is weak; both at the floor is very weak.
Very weak means your own fuel is scarce and nearly all of it has to come from outside. So people with this chart are unusually sensitive to environment — the same person in a different company, with a different partner, in a different city can be a very different person. The tradition says a very weak chart 'follows the current': since it can't be propped up, it goes with the strongest force on the chart.
Where you'll recognise it: you read a room accurately, you borrow leverage well, carrying something big alone drains you fast, and who you're with changes everything. Running well, you're the best integrator of resources there is: no head-on collisions, able to borrow, able to ride a current, and with the right people you produce far beyond what one person could. Stuck, you get towed by the environment — unable to leave a bad relationship, staying too long in the wrong place. So the most important decision for this chart is never what to do. It's with whom, and where.
