Sagittarius comes at the turn from autumn to winter, after Scorpio has taken things apart — its job is finding the meaning in the pieces. So Sagittarius isn't optimism, it's the search for a frame: it needs an explanation large enough to hold what happened. Which is why it connects to distance, philosophy, faith and foreign languages — all of those are versions of a bigger frame.
You'll recognise it here: what you can't tolerate isn't difficulty but meaninglessness — give you a why and you'll last a long time; you speak directly and find out afterwards it landed hard, because inside your frame it was just information; and unfamiliar places relax you, while too long in a familiar one produces a sense of being made smaller.
Running well, Sagittarius is the one who opens the view: a group stuck in detail, one sentence from you widens the scale and the problem changes shape. Blocked, it goes two ways. One is movement standing in for resolution — new city, new job, new relationship, the same problem against a different background. The other is treating your own frame as the truth, at which point exploration becomes preaching. What Sagittarius practises is coming back: going out is the easy half, and landing what you learned out there in one concrete place is the part this sign finds genuinely hard.
